A touching grotesque, empathy, and irony, always a dilemma and a question – Isn’t the darkness of the being an inseparable part of its light?
The being of the artist is a being of loneliness, in which anima and animus seem separate – androgynous creatures of animal outlines in eternal search. The yearning for wholeness is a striving for union, always with the dilemma of whether time and space are our allies or they are working against us. Rebellion and reconciliation, rejection and acceptance, tenderness and wonder! The strength and fragility of the spirit! Once unleashed, the demons become untamable and float in the fluid spaces of the image, freely leaning on or resisting, within the infinity of visible boundaries. Archetypal symbols are born in the intuitive nature of a disturbed spirit that resists temporal segmentation, striving to create a work that is timeless, in which the bestiary of the soul longs for wholeness and rejects the notion that we are mere case or coincidence!
