SILENT SHOUT | Drawings

Drawings created on handmade Japanese fine art paper, year 2025

In this deeply personal series, I explore themes that resonate with me from recently.

Тhe female body and the quiet yet profound transformations that occur over a lifetime. Through these pieces, I explore how the body changes—not just on the outside but in ways that reflect the shifting tides of our inner worlds. The works challenge long-standing ideals of femininity and beauty, instead offering a vision of the female body as something alive, dynamic, and constantly evolving. The body is shown as a living story—carrying the marks of time, the wisdom of age, and the evidence of transformation, posture changes, softening curves etc.. These physical details become symbols of growth, resilience, and the passage of life itself. A deeper transformation of the self, inviting us to think about how the visible, physical body reflects the invisible, emotional, and psychological worlds we all carry within us. The artworks blur the lines between the “outside” and “inside” in poetic, symbolic ways. Layered textures, flowing colours, and organic forms evoke the idea that the body isn’t a fixed boundary between us and the world—it’s a meeting point, a fluid space where the physical, emotional, and spiritual intersect.
